Our Mission: The Real Story Behind Brujula Cripto
The Day Everything Changed
There are moments in life that mark you forever. For me, one of those moments came about fifteen months ago. I received a call I'll never forget. On the other end of the phone was V., a friend who is like a sister to me. She was crying uncontrollably. She could barely speak through her sobs, but the message broke my heart: someone had broken into her XRP wallet and taken everything. More than 11,000 XRP. All her savings, everything she had worked so hard to gather, gone in an instant.
I felt her pain as if it were my own. The rage was eating me up inside, that terrible feeling of helplessness when you can't do anything to help. How was this even possible? How could years of work disappear in a matter of minutes?
The Desperate Search and the Wall of Indifference
We didn't just sit there doing nothing. We went crazy investigating. We dove into the blockchain, tracked every transaction, noted every hash (those unique codes for each movement), every suspicious address where her funds had passed through. We gathered evidence, screenshots, emails, everything we could think of.
We went to the police. Once, twice, three times. The first visit was disheartening - we felt like they were looking at us as if we were speaking Chinese. The second time they seemed more interested, took note of the transaction hashes, but without much hope. The third was more of the same. They told us experts would handle the case, but weeks went by and there was only silence.
We also tried contacting the related platforms to see if they had any clues, maybe an IP address, though we already knew it was like throwing stones into the sea. The response was expected: due to privacy and how this technology works, they don't keep the information we needed.
Months have passed and we still don't know anything. Not from the police, not from anyone. And being realistic, I doubt we'll ever know anything. The money is gone forever. But that wasn't the worst part. The worst part was watching V. fall apart. Her peace of mind was shattered. The blow was so hard she had to seek psychological help to get through it. Seeing someone you love go through something like that, feeling that total sense of abandonment from those who should protect you... that changes your life.
From Rage to Action: I Have to Do Something
That helplessness gradually transformed into something different. Into a question that wouldn't let me sleep: If this happened to V., how many other people is this happening to right now? How many stories like this are silenced by shame or simple resignation?
The crypto world is incredible, full of opportunities that can change lives, but it's also like the wild west. It's complex, treacherous, and very hostile if you don't know how to navigate it. And what hurt me most was that real help, prevention that actually works, wasn't available to ordinary people.
I couldn't give V. back what was stolen from her. That was already impossible. But I could use what I know about technology and development to try to build something useful. Something that would help other people avoid going through the same thing. Something that would bring a little light into all that darkness.
The Birth of Brujula Cripto: A Personal Mission
And that's how Brujula Cripto was born. Not as just another project, but as a direct response to that call, to that frustration, to that pain I still feel. It was born with a very clear mission:
- Create tools that actually prevent: Like the Brujula Security extension, designed to detect those fake websites before it's too late, before you make that click that changes everything.
- Offer education that actually helps: Explain risks like Impermanent Loss or rug pulls in a way anyone can understand, so people can actually protect themselves.
- Provide real transparency: Build tools that let you understand what's happening on the blockchain, verify a transaction, analyze a wallet, without needing to be an expert.
- Create a place to find help: A space to get trustworthy information and, over time, connect with others and professionals who know their stuff.
Every part of this platform, from the simplest guide to the most complex tool, carries that original motivation inside. We don't want anyone else to go through what V. went through. We want you to be able to navigate the crypto world with more knowledge, more security, and more peace of mind.
We don't have all the answers, that's clear. Total security doesn't exist. But we can offer you a compass, a guide, honest tools built from real experience and real pain.
With love
I write this story with my heart in my hand, because it's our truth. Every line of code, every article, every tool we build has this real story behind it.

P.S.: If you've also been through something like this, you're not alone. This is for all the V.'s of the world.
